- Good verbal communication skills with other employees.

Physical Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary.
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.

Responsibilities:
- Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures.
- Weld structural steel members using (MIG) wire feed processes.
- Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements.
- Follow proper safety instructions.
- Work in a team environment.
- Perform other duties as needed by supervision.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager.
Job Requirements/Special Skills
Structural Welding Skills
- Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8“ material.
- Good verbal communication skills with other employees.
- Positive attitude.
- Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement.
- Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints.
Physical Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary.
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
